Annie remembers reading an article about composting with worms in 2010, and the little critters moved right into her head! A few years later, the school group she was sponsoring was looking for an enviromental project to take on, and two worlds collided! After several years of composting the school’s food waste, she decided to take her expertise and use it to start her own business.

Her passion for responsible living started in 1970, when her mom took her to pick up trash along the creek on their farm, explaining that it was a special day: the first Earth Day. Now, Annie loves sharing her food waste solutions with nearby community groups, schools/clubs, and local business owners. She draws on her experience as a teacher, a community gardener, a food pantry manager, and a school-based food composting system developer to create real, lasting change.
